Aryna Sabalenka
The place where Sabalenka was born was Minsk in Belarus. The father of her Sergey (d. in 2019) was an athlete in ice hockey. Aryna Sabalenka was born in Minsk on May 5, 1998. She has been able to win twelve WTA singles titles, which includes a Grand Slam in the Australian Open in 2023. Doubles is her forte and she has also won Majors during the US Open (2019) and Australian Open (2021), both together with Elise Mertens. She won both the WTA 1000 and Miami Open in Indian Wells with her Belgian Partner, who completed her Sunshine Double. Only four women's pairs have achieved this achievement. On 23 August 2021 she rose to second position on the list of world singles rankings her best ranking reached again in the month of January in 2023. Dmitry Tursunov, a former Russian tennis star, coached her from her 2018 season to the end and part of her 2020 campaign. Dieter Kindlmann and her were briefly together from August to September 2020.
